No two Friendship Spoons are alike because, like your friendships, they are one of a kind.   Each is hand-carved and measures  approximately   7 inches in length.  The wood used for these spoons is salvaged from old homes under reconstruction.

The Friendship Spoon

The half and whole hearts reflect a friendship that has shared both good times and bad...friends always there for each other.

Twin Hearts denote a feeling of sisterhood. These hearts reflect a friendship with many common interests.

The Single Heart suggests a very special relationship, a best friend. The crown above reflects a friendship that is cherished.

Hearts and Flowers reflect a blossoming friendship due to a spontaneous trust.

Birthday - The clock without hands symbolizes eternity.  On our Birthday Spoon, it represents the agelessness of a solid relationship.

Retirement or Graduation - As a leaf changes from Spring to Fall, it displays beauty and wonder with each new season.  We offer the heart-shaped leaf as a tribute to a job well done with best wishes for the future.

THE COMPANION SPOON

My Friendship spoons have always been made by hand, in my own workshop. Given the growing popularity of my spoons, I am very excited to introduce to you a new line of spoons called The Companion Spoons.

The meanings are inspired by some of my favorite original Friendship Spoons and produced in limited edition designs.

The painting in the scoop remembers the year the design was created and brings back those themes related to the past years.

Each design is developed within my studio and then entrusted to an outside workshop to assist in the carving, under my direction. I then individually number, paint and package each spoon. These spoons measure approx. 4" in length and hang in their own storybook box.

I hope you welcome and enjoy this new addition to my family of spoons.

In the past, my Christmas Spoons have only been sold  directly through our Gallery. I created only one design and retired it at the end of that same year.

Given the growing popularity of these spoons, I am also very excited to introduce to you a new line of limited addition Christmas Spoons.

I still create only one design each year, which is developed within my studio. It is then entrusted to an outside workshop to assist in the carving under my direction. I individually paint, number and package each spoon.

Each year I will also bring back one Christmas Spoon from the past, also created in a limited edition design. This will give everyone a chance to renew their collection.

The Wedding Spoon

The giving of spoons began in Wales in the 17th Century, when sailors bestowed upon their sweethearts a wooden spoon in place of a ring.

The greater the love, the more intricate the carvings. This spoon was to be displayed in a prominent place for all the world to realize that the lady was betrothed. The term "Spooning" originated with this custom.

These Traditional rings bound together with a heart, reflect best withes with God's blessing to a special couple joined together in Marriage.

Hearts intertwined reflect a relationship too strong to be torn apart.
